In my personality type based communication workshops I sometimes have participants complete this thought –“To communicate most effectively with me please…” This exercise helps participants express their communication style and preferences.
I can’t take credit for this exercise. It is modified from one created by Jean Kummerow.
Here is a photo of a response from an individual who has INTJ preferences.
People preferring INTJ tend to be goal-oriented, global thinkers who are looking to solve problems and improve systems. As this individual says, if you want their attention, make sure you set up a time to communicate and explain why the conversation is relevant to them.
