Illustrations of Type – ISTP and INTP

Illustrations of Type – ISTP and INTP

By Donna Dunning

In my MBTI® Certification workshops participants respond to the instruction -“Describe your type using words, phrases, or pictures.” I find these visual representations of type preferences help illustrate individual differences.

To complete this poster, an individual with ISTP preferences was paired with an individual with INTP preferences, since they both share the dominant function of Introverted Thinking (Ti).

When people prefer Perceiving, they tend to approach the world in an open-ended, exploratory way. Those with a Perceiving preference often depict winding paths in their illustrations. In this poster, the phrase “Okay to turn R or L” also emphasizes the outer flexibility of ISTPs and INTPs.

It is common for those with a dominant function of Introverted Thinking (ISTPs and INTPs) to include question marks in their posters and to mention their interest in questioning.

Although ISTPs and INTPs are usually open-ended and flexible when dealing with the world around them, they are internally questioning, evaluating, and coming to logical conclusions.

You may want to look at previous Illustrations of Type posts from ISTPs and INTPs.
