Illustrations of Type – INTP

Illustrations of Type – INTP

By Donna Dunning

Donna DunningIn my MBTI® Certification workshops participants respond to the instruction -“Describe your type using words, phrases, or pictures.” I find these visual representations of type preferences help illustrate individual differences.

Here is a photo of a response from an individual who has INTP personality type preferences.

The poster shows how an INTP can use their dominant function (Ti) in the inner world. The first point, quiet/contained, shows what others see, while also showing us a glimpse into the rich inner analysis that is going on.

The second point, “flexible/adaptable”, shows how an INTP can appear open-ended and adaptable (Ne) in the outer world, even when they are skeptical and carrying out an internal analysis.

This is page two of a two-page description. See the first page at INTP illustration Part A.

You may also enjoy looking at how other INTP groups have completed this illustration of type exercise.

As you look through the other illustrations you can see the logical, theoretical approach people with these preferences tend to take.

If you are interested in seeing how people with different type preferences complete this exercise, check out the Illustrations of Type series.
