Illustrations of Type – ESFJ and ENFJ

Illustrations of Type – ESFJ and ENFJ

By Donna Dunning

Donna DunningIn my MBTI® Certification workshops participants respond to the instruction -“Describe your type using words, phrases, or pictures.” I find these visual representations of type preferences help illustrate individual differences.

Here is a photo of a response from a group where some members had ESFJ preferences and others had preferences for ENFJ.

For both of these groups, their dominant function is Extraverted Feeling (Fe). You can see them express this preference as they share their interest in empathizing with and respecting people. People are key throughout their description and they want to focus on the impacts on people and interpersonal dynamics in a situation before addressing productivity. Notice that they don’t like conflict, but do want to deal with it right away.

Their Judging preference also shows up as they describe how they want to get the ball rolling, stick to the plan, and avoid last minute changes.

You may also want to look at other ESFJ and ENFJ illustrations in this series.
