What Might be a Challenge for an ESFJ?

People with ESFJ preferences are often highly sociable and like to work in teams. They usually enjoy achieving immediate results by attending to details and working collaboratively.

Harnessing the skills and energy of people to achieve practical results is a valuable activity that ESFJs likely enjoy.

Getting people working together to find practical solutions and solve immediate problems can be all that is needed at times.

However, sometimes achieving practical results is not enough to solve a more complicated problem or improve a complex process.

Sometimes bigger is better

Sometimes a more strategic, long-term look at a situation is necessary. In order to create a larger, more global change, ESFJs need to tap into their Intuitive and Thinking processes.

Using Intuition helps Practical Contributors (ESFJ) consider long-term implications, possibilities, and solutions to problems. Using Thinking helps them assess and evaluate situations logically and objectively. By using these non-preferred preferences, ESFJs learn to solve problems more strategically.
