Thriving in Change: Tips for ISTPs and INTPs

By Donna Dunning

Donna DunningIn times of change, the Analyzer’s (ISTP and INTP) greatest strength and also their biggest weakness is analysis and skepticism. Analyzers are generally flexible and like to embrace change that seems reasonable and useful.

If you are an Analyzer, you may be resistant to, and maneuver around, changes that are illogical.

Here are 5 tips to help you thrive during change:

• Analyze the implications of the change

• Discover how the change can make things easier or more efficient

• Look for options and negotiate your involvement

• Find ways to act independently

• Challenge yourself to stay engaged, as when you disagree with changes, you may become impatient, detached, or noncompliant

You can find out more about how ISTPs respond to change in my temperament post on SPs and Change.
