Sometimes people struggle when trying to figure out their four-letter personality type code.
If this is happening to you, the most important thing to remember is: Everyone uses both sides of a preference pair some of the time.
We all use extraversion, introversion, sensing, intuition, thinking, feeling, judging, and perceiving as necessary as we move through our day-to-day life.
Personality type isn’t about what you use or what you have skills in; personality type is about what you PREFER. Determining your preferences accurately is an important step to understanding your whole type pattern and applying personality concepts.
Why validate your type? is a post that describes general reasons why people might answer a personality type indicator inaccurately.
I have also written four posts exploring reasons why you might have difficulty choosing your preference on a specific pair:
Mistyping: Is your natural preference Introversion or Extraversion?
Mistyping: Is your natural preference Sensing or Intuition?
Mistyping: Is your natural preference Thinking or Feeling?
Mistyping: Is your natural preference Judging or Perceiving?
I hope this additional information can help you to accurately determine your four-letter personality type code.
