Illustrations of Type – ISTJ and ISFJ

Illustrations of Type – ISTJ and ISFJ

By Donna Dunning

In my MBTI® Certification workshops participants respond to the instruction -“Describe your type using words, phrases, or pictures.” I find these visual representations of type preferences help illustrate individual differences.

Here is a photo of a response from two individuals working on the task together. One has ISTJ and one has ISFJ personality type preferences. This poster clearly shows the common dominant function, Introverted Sensing (Si), of these personality type approaches by the descriptors on the left. The influence of the auxiliary function (either Te or Fe) is described by the descriptions on the right.

There is another ISTJ/ISFJ illustration in this series that also shows the interactions between the dominant and auxiliary functions.

There are also several other posts on the site you can look at if you are interested in knowing more about ISFJ preferences or ISTJ preferences
