Illustrations of Type – ESTP

By Donna Dunning

In my MBTI® Certification workshops participants respond to the instruction -“Describe your type using words, phrases, or pictures.” I find these visual representations of type preferences help illustrate individual differences.

Here is a photo of a response from an ESTP group. Notice the first two statements “Love life. Like to play.” demonstrating the ESP zest for living in the moment and having fun. You can see a desire for freedom, independence, and flexibility in the description.

The poster clearly shows their preference for being practical and moving forward quickly rather than processing situations in more depth and also shows how this is both a strength and challenge for the ESTP.
