Illustrations of Type – ENTP

Illustrations of Type – ENTP

By Donna Dunning

In my MBTI® Certification workshops participants respond to the instruction -“Describe your type using words, phrases, or pictures.” I find these visual representations of type preferences help illustrate individual differences.

Here is a photo of a response from an ENTP group.

They are using the “popcorn popping” metaphor from Jean Kummerow to describe the dominant function of Extraverted Intuition (Ne). I mentioned Jean’s metaphor in class and obviously they thought it fit.

Their “popcorn” is possibilities. As they mention, anything can be possible. They include a note stating that they use their thinking function to balance the Ps (possibilities). This function provides them with a way to evaluate their options, although you can see from the illustration that this is not their primary approach.

This is the fifth ENTP poster in the Illustrations of Type series.

You may also want to look at the first ENTP illustration, second ENTP illustration, third ENTP illustration, and fourth ENTP illustration.
