ENFP Communication Highlights

ENFP Communication Highlights

By Donna Dunning

Donna DunningIn my personality type based communication workshops I sometimes have participants complete this thought -“To communicate most effectively with me, please…”. This exercise helps participants think about and express their personal communication style and preferences.

I can’t take credit for this exercise. It is modified from one created by Jean Kummerow.

Here is a photo of a response from an individual with ENFP preferences.

Many of the statements are related to the dominant function of Extraverted Intuition (Ne) – avoid going into too much detail, be open to other ideas/input, and give me the big picture.

The ENFPs’ auxiliary function, Introverted Feeling (Fi), can also be seen in the statements as this individual asks listeners to be supportive and understanding as well as constructive when giving feedback.
