ENFJ: To communicate with me

ENFJ: To communicate with me

By Donna Dunning

Donna DunningIn my personality type based communication workshops I sometimes have participants complete this thought –“To communicate most effectively with me, please…” This exercise helps participants express their personal communication style and preferences.

I can’t take credit for this exercise. It is modified from one created by Jean Kummerow.

Here is a photo of a response from an individual with ENFJ preferences.

These clear three points nicely sum up how this person, who prefers ENFJ, likes to communicate.

One Response to “ENFJ: To communicate with me”

How cool! I’m trying to figure out right now if I’m an ESFJ or ENFJ. I feel like I relate to a little of both. I decided to write down my own reponse.

    To communicate with me, please…

Tell me what you need me to do.
Give me your input and ideas on what you would like done.
Give me a small measure of freedom to incorporate my own creativity into the task as well, if at all possible.
Feel free to check periodically to see how the work is going, so I know whether or not it’s to your liking.
Show me your appreciation when I have completed what you wanted me to do, or at the very least, acknowledge my work.
